Legal Information
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This page sets out the legal and trading information that premrixza is required to publish, together with a plain-English explanation of how the site may be used. It applies to every visitor, subscriber and customer, and it applies whether you are reading on a desktop, a tablet, a phone or through an email digest.
premrixza is a professional resource dedicated to studio production in motion. Our material covers studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and the creation of smooth, high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. Please read this notice alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Payment and Refund Policy. Those documents are separate from this notice, but together they form the terms on which the site is made available.
1. Identity of the website operator
The site is owned and operated by Leading Light Technologies Ltd, a private company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales under company registration number 6496207. In the United Kingdom the operator also trades as VideoBits. Throughout this notice, the words "we", "us", "our" and "the operator" mean Leading Light Technologies Ltd, and "the site" means premrixza together with any subdomains, downloadable files and email communications connected with it.
We are the publisher of the editorial and instructional content on the site and, unless a page clearly states otherwise, the data controller for personal data collected through it. Where the site offers paid downloads, course materials, toolkits or consultancy, the operator is also the trader and the contracting party for those transactions. Individual contributors, guest technicians and freelance camera operators who write for or appear on the site do so on our behalf. They are not separate legal entities and cannot vary this notice, waive our obligations or make commitments in our name.
Our role is that of a professional resource and, where applicable, a supplier of services. We do not act as an agent for equipment manufacturers, broadcasters, venues or production companies, and we do not take part in negotiations between you and any third party you meet through the site.
2. Legal form, registration details and tax identifiers
The following information is published in line with United Kingdom trading disclosure requirements, including the disclosure obligations that apply to company websites, business emails and order forms:
- Registered company name: Leading Light Technologies Ltd
- Trading name: VideoBits, and the brand name premrixza
- Company registration number: 6496207
- Place of registration: England and Wales
- Registered office: National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, United Kingdom
- VAT registration number: 925711134
- Legal form: private company limited by shares
- Regulatory status: not a regulated profession
Because the operator is registered in England and Wales, the part of the United Kingdom in which the company is registered is England and Wales. Any reference on the site to share capital, if it ever appears, refers to paid-up share capital. Where a named director or other officer is identified in a business email other than as the author or a signatory, the names of all directors are available from the public register kept at Companies House.
Where we supply services to customers in the United Kingdom, we also provide the information required of service providers: our name, legal status and business address; direct and rapid contact details; a route for complaints and information requests; the price of services where it is pre-determined; the main features of a service where these are not obvious; our VAT number; our general terms and conditions; the law and jurisdiction that apply to our service contracts; any after-sales guarantee that gives you more protection than the law requires; and details of any professional liability insurance we are required to hold.
We are not members of a regulated profession, a trade register or a professional body, and we do not hold a UK or EEA authorisation scheme membership in respect of the editorial content on this site. Where our content touches on regulated activities, the position is as follows. Electrical installation, temporary power distribution and rigging work require competent, qualified people acting under an appropriate risk assessment. Flying cameras on unmanned aircraft requires authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority. Wireless audio and radio microphones operate under spectrum rules administered by Ofcom and, in some cases, under a shared or coordinated licence. Nothing on this website grants, transfers or implies any such permission, licence or qualification, and no page should be read as a substitute for the permissions held by the production company actually carrying out the work.
3. Registered office and how to reach us
Our registered office, which also serves as our principal place of business for correspondence, is National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, United Kingdom. Written notices, formal complaints and legal correspondence should be sent there, marked for the attention of the company secretary.
You can reach us by email at info@nfts.co.uk or by telephone on 01494 671234. The site also has a Contacts page with a contact form that you may use for general enquiries, corrections, rights requests and editorial feedback. We are a small team, so we aim to acknowledge messages within three working days and to give a substantive reply within ten working days. Where a legal time limit applies to your request, we will always respond within the period the law allows.
Please use the same routes for data protection requests, including requests to access, correct or delete personal data, and for copyright or trade mark complaints. Telling us about a problem early is almost always faster than going to court, and we will try to resolve matters directly wherever we can.
4. Purpose, scope and intended audience of the website
The site exists to help studio and outside-broadcast teams work safely, quickly and consistently. Practical guidance, checklists, equipment notes, lighting and sound explanations, workflow diagrams and reference material are published for that purpose. The intended audience is working professionals, freelancers, students and trainees in television, live events, streaming and corporate video, together with the educators who teach them.
The content is written for people who already understand basic studio practice, or who are learning under supervision. It is not a beginner's health and safety manual, it is not a commissioning document, and it is not a substitute for the manufacturer's instructions, the venue's method statements, a written risk assessment, or the judgement of a competent person on site. Where a page describes a technique, it describes the technique in general terms. Local conditions, equipment revisions, firmware versions, weight limits and venue rules always take priority over anything published here.
The site is aimed at a United Kingdom audience and is written in English. It is intended for adults working in or training for the industry; we do not direct the site at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
5. Access to the website and acceptable use
You may browse the public areas of the site free of charge. Some material, tools or downloadable resources may be reserved for registered users or paying customers, and access to those areas is subject to the Terms and Conditions and to any additional product terms shown at the point of sale.
When you use the site, you agree not to:
- use it for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else;
- copy, scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, data, diagrams or media by automated means, or use them to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning model without our written permission;
- reproduce, resell, sublicense or redistribute substantial parts of the content, whether free of charge or commercially;
- interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the site, including by introducing malicious code, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- misrepresent your identity, your qualifications or your affiliation with us or with any other organisation;
- remove, obscure or alter copyright notices, attribution, watermarks or credits.
We may suspend, restrict or withdraw access to all or part of the site, temporarily or permanently, if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, or to protect the site, our users or our contributors. Where a suspension affects a paid product and the problem is not caused by a breach on your part, the Payment and Refund Policy explains what happens next.
Accessibility and availability
We try to keep the site usable and understandable for as many people as possible, and we welcome reports of accessibility problems through the Contacts page. We also carry out maintenance, updates and security work, so parts of the site may be unavailable from time to time. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, and we may change, move or retire features and pages.
6. Ownership and permitted use of content, trade marks and other intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the site and its content belong to the operator or are licensed to it. That includes, without limitation, articles and guides, checklists, diagrams, tables, photographs, video stills, audio samples, downloadable templates, code, page design, navigation and the underlying database. Copyright arises automatically in the United Kingdom, and no registration is required for it to be enforceable.
The names Leading Light Technologies Ltd, VideoBits and premrixza, together with associated logos and get-up, are trade marks or brand identifiers of the operator. You may refer to us by name in factual, non-misleading statements, reviews and training material, but you may not use our marks or brand elements in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or sponsorship without our prior written consent.
You are allowed to view the site, print or download a single copy of any page for your own internal professional reference, quote short extracts with a clear credit to premrixza and a description of the source page, and share a link to our pages. You are not allowed to republish, translate, sell, rent, syndicate, mirror or bulk-download our content, to build a competing library from it, or to remove attribution. We reserve our rights in relation to text and data mining to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Third-party trade marks, product names, camera models, lighting fixtures and console brands referred to on the site remain the property of their respective owners. They are used for identification, comparison and explanation only, and their appearance does not imply any connection with, or approval of, this site.
7. Accuracy, availability and proportionate limits of liability
We work hard to keep the content accurate and current, and we date or version material where that helps. Even so, studio equipment, radio spectrum rules, lighting technology, file formats, codecs and broadcast delivery standards change quickly, and practical results depend on equipment condition, calibration, acoustics, cabling, power quality and the skill of the person operating the kit. Content is therefore provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for general professional guidance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill, and loss of or damage to data, however arising and whether in contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the relevant product or service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred pounds.
Nothing in this notice excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for any breach of the terms implied by law that cannot be excluded, or for any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep all of your statutory rights, and nothing here affects your right to goods, services or digital content that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
8. Safety and professional responsibility for studio and live production
Studio and live production carries real physical risk. Guidance on this site about rigging positions, lighting placement, camera movement, cable runs, power distribution, batteries, sound pressure levels and live switching is general in nature and does not replace a site-specific risk assessment, a method statement, a competent person's sign-off or the manufacturer's instructions.
In particular: never exceed the rated working load of a grip stand, truss, pantograph or ceiling point; keep hot lights away from combustible materials and use the protective screens, scrims and safety bonds specified by the manufacturer; treat all power distribution and electrical work as the responsibility of a competent, qualified person; handle lithium batteries, chargers and flight cases in line with the manufacturer's instructions; protect eyes and hearing when working with powerful fixtures, strobes, lasers or high sound pressure levels; and follow venue rules, local authority requirements and broadcast compliance procedures at all times. If anything on the site appears inconsistent with a manufacturer's instruction or a venue requirement, follow the manufacturer and the venue, and tell us so we can correct the page.
9. External links and third-party content
The site may refer or link to third-party websites, manufacturer documentation, software, standards bodies, suppliers and event organisers. Those references are provided for information and convenience only. We do not control third-party sites and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, security, availability, privacy practices or terms of use. A reference does not amount to an endorsement, and the absence of a reference does not amount to criticism.
Where the site embeds or displays third-party material such as video players, manuals, charts or diagrams, that material remains subject to the rights and terms of the third party concerned. If you follow a link away from premrixza, the terms and privacy practices of the destination site will apply to you, and you should review them.
10. Personal data, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act and cookies
We handle personal data in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. In practice this means that we tell you what we collect and why, we only collect what we need, we keep it no longer than necessary, we protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures, and we respect your rights.
The categories of data involved, the lawful bases we rely on, the retention periods, the recipients and any international transfers are set out in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this legal notice. In summary, we process data to run the site, to respond to enquiries, to provide products and services you have asked for, to keep records we are legally required to keep, and, where you have consented or where we have a legitimate interest, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased in certain circumstances, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability where it applies, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing. You can exercise these rights by writing to info@nfts.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, which is the United Kingdom's data protection supervisory authority; we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
The site uses cookies and similar technologies, and a cookie banner appears across the site so that you can accept, refuse or manage non-essential cookies. Analytics and other non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. The Cookie Policy explains each category of cookie, its purpose and its lifetime, and how to control cookies in your browser.
11. Contracts, digital content, payments, cancellations and refunds
Some parts of the site may be offered as paid products, including downloadable templates, checklists, document packs, recorded sessions and consultancy. Where you buy from us as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you pre-contract information and, for distance contracts, a fourteen-day cancellation period that starts when the contract is concluded.
Where you buy digital content for immediate download or streaming, you will be asked to acknowledge that supply begins straight away and that you therefore lose the fourteen-day cancellation right once the download or stream has started. Where immediate supply is not requested, the cancellation period applies in the normal way. Nothing in this section affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires digital content, goods and services to be of satisfactory quality and as described, and gives you remedies where they are not.
Prices, currency, taxes, accepted payment methods, delivery arrangements for physical items, licence terms for downloads, and the process for cancellations, refunds and faulty files are all set out in the Terms and Conditions and in the Payment and Refund Policy. Where those documents conflict with this notice on a matter concerning a specific purchase, the purchase documents take priority for that purchase.
12. Complaints and consumer dispute rights
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first at info@nfts.co.uk or on 01494 671234, giving your order reference and a short description of the problem. We will investigate and reply within a reasonable period, normally within ten working days.
If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, consumers in the United Kingdom may be able to use an approved alternative dispute resolution provider. We are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution, and where we do, we will tell you which scheme applies. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of the United Kingdom, from using a small claims procedure, or from contacting a consumer advice service or trading standards for guidance. This section does not restrict any mandatory right you have as a consumer.
13. Applicable law and competent courts
This notice, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or with the site, is governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and nothing in this notice removes your right to rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the law of your home nation. Where a dispute concerns a contract for services performed elsewhere in the United Kingdom, the applicable rules on jurisdiction continue to apply in the usual way.
14. Changes to this legal notice and last-updated date
We may update this legal notice to reflect changes in the law, in our business, in the services we offer or in the technology behind the site. The version published on this page is the version in force at the time you use the site. We will change the last-updated date shown at the top of the page whenever we make a material change, and where a change significantly affects your rights we will give a clear notice on the site.
This notice was last updated on 20 October 2026. If you have questions about this notice, about our legal identity, or about how to exercise any of the rights described above, please write to info@nfts.co.uk, telephone 01494 671234 or write to us at National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, United Kingdom.
